Top 10 World’s Best Airlines – Skytrax Awards
For the third time in five years, Qatar Airways has taken out the gong for best airline in the world. The Skytrax World Airline Awards for 2015 were determined by 18.9 million reviewers world-wide. But who rounded out the top 10 world’s best airlines? Find out here.
The 2014 Skytrax awards were taken out by Hong Kong based Cathay Pacific Airways, who slipped to number three in 2015.

- Singapore Airlines (Singapore)
- Cathay Pacific Airways (Hong Kong)
- Turkish Airlines (Turkey)
- Emirates (United Arab Emirates)
- Etihad Airways (United Arab Emirates)
- ANA All Nippon Airways (Japan)
- Garuda Indonesia (Indonesia)
- EVA Air (Taiwan)
- Qantas Airways (Australia)
Australian carriers Virgin Australia and Jetstar Airways were ranked 16 and 41 respectively in the world, down from 15 and 39.
US airlines in the top 100?
The first US based airline to enter the list was Virgin America who featured at number 26 (up from position 46 in 2014) followed by Delta Airlines at number 45 (up from 49), jetBlue Airways at number 50 (from 59), United down to 60 (from 53), Alaska Airlines at 65 (from 69), Southwest Airlines 67 (from 71) and American Airlines at 79 (from 89) and lastly Hawaiian Airlines at 82 (from 88). All other US airlines fell below the top 100 or simply did not rank.
So who rounded out the top 100 list? That not so good gong goes to Fiji Airways who moved from position 97 to 100.
