Hawaiian Airlines Offer iPad Mini on all 767-300 Flights

Hawaiian Airlines is set to be the only US mainline carrier to offer the iPad Mini for entertainment on-board their 767-300 aircraft. Currently Hawaiian Airlines serves Brisbane Australia, Asia, South Pacific and select US destinations on the Boeing 767 meaning an entertainment unit will now be available to reserve at time of booking. Guests may also hire the device on board.

The new iPad Mini will offer over 100 hours of entertainment ranging from latest release movies, games and TV shows. If you’re flying business class they will be offered for free, while in economy you can reserve a unit at time of booking or at the gate for $15 or once on board for $17.

Vice President of Product Development at Hawaiian Airlines, Blaine Miyasato, said “With the help of Bluebox Avionics, we’re building on our acclaimed in-flight service by incorporating the latest in popular consumer tech products to enhance our in-flight entertainment options.”

Entertainment is provided by Bluebox Avionics. “At Bluebox Avionics, we understand the importance of the need for high-quality passenger experience aboard the aircraft, and we are also well-tuned to providing capabilities that are simple and efficient for our airline partners to manage.” Said David Brown, joint managing director of Bluebox Avionics.

Hawaiian Airlines services Brisbane 5x per week from Honolulu on the Boeing 767-300 and daily from Sydney to Honolulu on an Airbus A330. Code share flights within Australia are with Virgin Australia from most ports.
