Anticipation Builds For Upcoming American Airlines Sydney Service

Next month marks the debut of American Airlines’ service Down Under.
The inaugural flight from Sydney to Los Angeles is set to take-off on 19 December and will be operated by the airline’s brand new Boeing 777-300ER, an aircraft that American has decked out in a stylish three class layout.
In anticipation of the new service, American will be giving journalists, travel writers and industry professionals a look at their state-of-the-art ‘Triple 7’ aircraft when it makes a brief promotional stop at Qantas’ Sydney hangar on 13 November.
To show off the gleaming silver bird, Qantas invited me to the tour event which includes a walk-through of the U.S. carrier’s flagship aircraft.
As both Oneworld member airlines look to strengthen their Pacific ties, they continue to provide customers on both sides of the Pacific with even greater access to the Australian and North American markets and this aircraft is sure to solidify that market lead.
Be sure to look for my upcoming story covering the day’s tour events which will be published here on Morethanroute66.com.au on 15 November. I’ll be taking a more in-depth look at the aircraft and its many impressive features. Of course you can also expect a collection of great aircraft photos from my time spent ‘up-close and personal’ with the beautiful Boeing.
Until then, blue skies and happy flying!
