5 ‘Not So Usual’ Things To Do In Las Vegas

One of the most iconic cities in the world, Las Vegas has earned its stripes for opulence, entertainment and just plain craziness. With its world-famous landmarks, incredible shopping and irresistible dining options, Vegas isn’t just about gambling any more. As they say, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but here are some interesting experiences that you will love to talk about and share.

The ‘Wine Tower’ experience

Watch the famous ‘wine angels’ retrieve your bottle of wine from the Aureole Restaurant’s impressive four story, temperature controlled, 50,000 bottle wine tower. Located inside Mandalay Bay Resort at the top of the strip, the wine angels are clad in a Calvin Klein designed cat suit. Using a pulley system, they float between the four storied wine tower to retrieve your bottle of choice. Only in Vegas of course!

‘The Tank’ water slide experience

Does swimming next to a tank full of sharks and other sea predators entice you? How about shooting through a glass tube through the middle of a shark tank? Well you can do both at the Golden Nugget Hotel swimming complex thanks to its recent $30 million refurbishment. One of the original casinos on the strip, the recent upgrade and refurbishment has opened up a three storey high speed slide that shoots you through a glass encased slide surrounded by sharks, rays and other predators of the deep. This is one water slide not to be missed! There are also private pool cabanas that can be rented for the day, or just relax by the pool bar.

Skydiving…..indoors?

If you’ve always wanted to skydive, but the thought of jumping out of a perfectly good aeroplane just seems a bit too crazy, then try Vegas Indoor Skydiving. Don a jump suit, step inside the wind tunnel and experience what it’s like to be diving through the air while in the comfort of an indoor arena. This indoor skydiving experience is suitable for all ages and a great way to experience the thrill of skydiving…..at less then 20 feet off the ground.
